15 Stories for 15 Years! Story #4...

We’re featuring 15 stories for our 15th anniversary! 2021 is the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center's 15th year at Freedom Park. To celebrate, we will share 15 stories that highlight important moments in our history, remarkable people we've met along the way, lessons learned, milestones reached, and how Friends of Freedom Park and the surrounding communities have supported each other over the years.

Story #4 — Some donations take a long time to come to fruition. Almost 15 years ago, Evelyn Everts began planning an estate gift that would be part of her last will and testament. Earlier this year the property was sold and the proceeds became an endowed fund that will benefit Freedom Park (and the Prescott Foundation) forever. We will receive funds from this gift starting in 2022. We are deeply grateful for Evelyn’s generosity and dedication to this place. If you would like to include Freedom Park in your plans for the future, we would love to talk!

Photos are from the dedication ceremony for Everts Point in August of 2010.
