Park Locations & Directions

Located on the bluffs above the confluence of the Mississippi and St. Croix rivers; about 45 minutes from Minneapolis, MN and 25 minutes from St. Paul, MN. The Center is located one block off Hwy 35.
From the south: On WI Hwy 35 driving north — Just before entering downtown Prescott, look for the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center/Freedom Park sign; turn left onto Monroe Street.
From the north and west: From Prescott downtown where Hwy 10 intersects with WI Hwy 35 — drive 1 mile south on Hwy 35/Broad St./Jefferson St.(past downtown and up hill); look for the Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center/Freedom Park signs. Turn right onto Monroe Street.
Admission
Freedom Park is free and open to the public 24/7/365. The Great River Road Visitor & Learning Center is also free, see footer for hours it is open.
Parking
There are two small free public parking lots attached to Freedom Park. There is one RV/Camper parking spot located along Monroe St. For more parking information, please refer to our map.
Pets
Please keep your pets leashed/closely supervised at all times. Persons walking their pets are required to remove their pet’s waste. Garbage bins are provided across the park’s grounds.
