Great River Road Visitor and Learning Center (GRRVLC) - Freedom Park sits on 4 acres of natural and restored habitat and provides outdoor recreational and educational opportunities for more than 12,000 visitors from over 52 different countries and states each year. GRRVLC is dedicated to providing travel knowledge for the many travelers of the Great River Road (HWY 35.) GRRVLC also provides free quality educational experiences for people of all ages.

We rely on our volunteers, along with individual and corporate friends and donors to stay open each year.

As a private, non-profit organization, GRRVLC relies heavily on donations from generous supporters. Your financial contribution helps to keep our center open and available to everyone, it allows us to continue our education and habitat work, and supports the physical and mental health of the community.

2024 A year to look forward to

We have a wonderful year to look forward to. Amazing partnerships have been formed with Wisconsin’s Lieutenant Governor Sara Rodriquez,Travel Wisconsin, and many new businesses and people. We have many family friendly, free programs coming each month to the center. Check out our NEW Google calendar on the Events page! Volunteers are the backbone of our non-profit. Without the many volunteers that help us in a myriad of ways we would not be able to maintain our center. We welcome you to come and join our amazing team! Here’s to a successful and prosperous 2024!

New Exhibits Are coming!

Come on in and see the progress we are making!

Our goal at the Great River Road Visitor Center is to create a center where people can gather to connect, experience the beauty of the confluence of our two mighty rivers, engage in diverse perspectives, and learn about our natural and cultural history.

We are happy to share that we are working hard on creating new learning experiences for all ages. If you would like to donate towards the creation of new exhibits, please click the GIVE button below.

We need your generous giving to make this possible!
